We have an incredible opportunity to work within our highly successful Ascent management team as a Bid Manager.This is a new role reporting to the Chairman of the Ascent Performance Group business with regular liaison with the wider group bid team within Group Sales and Marketing. The job is to provide support and work across all areas of the Ascent business. This role will provide support through supporting the delivery of professional and uniform proposals to clients within the specified submission date and time, following these up as required to ensure success or obtain feedback and the consistent and enthusiastic identification of new opportunities for the business.
The successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to produce new content and also edit existing re-usable bid content as required. In addition, they will engage with clients or targets to ensure the prospects of successful outcomes are maximised and, where unsuccessful, that full feedback is obtained to improve future prospects.
Finally, although office based, the candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and determination to seek out new opportunities for the business and a consistent willingness to find ways to help the business grow. There will therefore be proactive pursuit of new business, which will include maintaining the company’s database of target clients and decision makers within in our target markets, their bid schedules, last renewals, incumbent suppliers and working with the sales team to ensure the company takes account of these schedules and has appropriate ‘lead-in’/review strategies.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisation and time management skills as well as an ability to prioritise and manage multiple activities at the same time. The candidate with also have experience in a previous bids / communications role. You will have an excellent understanding of grammar and the English language, as this role will develop your ability to edit, write and proof read. You will be a good team player who is happy working to often demanding deadlines. Full support and training will be given.
