As Analytics Senior Manager you will be an evangelist for data insights, promoting and enabling data-led decision making around the business by engaging with key stakeholders.

The Analytics Senior Manager will be a part of the Analytics Leadership and be seen as a leader of the strategic direction of data and analytics within the Legal Services and Operations teams. You will play a significant role in the development of the Analytics Strategy for Irwin Mitchell, bringing the needs of the senior stakeholder group, to ensure the implementation of that strategy delivers value for the business.

You will work with senior business stakeholders across the group to turn information into useable intelligence and knowledge. You will need to be both technically and commercially strong to be able to translate both the business need to data & analytics, and the analytics outputs to the senior stakeholders.

The Analytics Senior Manager will lead stakeholders in developing their data strategy requirements, analysis solutions and the types of outputs they require from operational real-time reports, to executive dashboards, to deep-dive insight reports, to ensure they can make the right decisions for the business.

You will be required to lead a large team of Analysts to deliver those solutions, dashboards, or insight reports to stakeholders to a high quality, in a timely manner. Aswell as leading the team, you will also lead project teams, sometimes including Engineers, to ensure the right data is created to meet the analytics and business requirement.

You will play a leading role in building the capability of the broader analytics team, bringing significant expertise, and actively coaching and mentoring other team members.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the engagement for Data & Analytics with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify and prioritise analytics projects and initiatives, as well as define business requirements and specifications.
  • Support the development and execution of the overall Analytics strategy across Irwin Mitchell, building and executing the delivery roadmap, aligning with the Irwin Mitchells vision, mission, and goals.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the organisation and its departments, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Lead and manage a large team of analysts, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of key dashboards, reports, and visualisations.
  • Ensure that actionable insights are provided, and recommendations are made to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Play a lead role in development of future analytics capability through development plans and coaching to fit those needs of key stakeholder groups and the broader business.
  • Research and evaluate new and emerging data sources, technologies, and methodologies, and implement best practices and innovations in analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and ethical standards and regulations.

 

About You
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing analytics team
  • Experience of building out analytics strategy in commercial business, developing technical capability and commercial application delivering value for the business
  • Given the key focus of this role is to cover the legal services delivery and operations teams, professional services and operational analytics experience would be preferred.
  • A strategic mindset, focusing on the longer-term plan for growth through the use of analytics.
  • Experience in crucial leadership roles in large transformation programmes that have significantly changed the operational delivery or customer experience within an organisation.
  • Able to show experience of strong stakeholder management and an ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear and concise messages for diverse audiences
  • Proficient in using various analytics software, tools, and languages, such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in data analysis and data visualisation
  • Solid understanding of business processes, functions, and objectives, as well as industry trends and best practices
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply analytical rigour and creativity to generate insights and solutions
  • Customer-focused and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
