As a Senior Service Lifecycle manager in Irwin Mitchell’s IT department, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of IT Service Management professionals, and managing the process your team uses to introduce new or modified technology services into production, and the removal of the previous service. You’ll lead, drive, champion and implement changes that will make a difference to the entire IT Service Delivery Strategy, service levels and proactively implement continuous service improvement plans for different locations and supplier contracts.
You’ll work alongside the Head of IT Service Delivery to develop service strategies and lead the implementation of processes to enable the delivery of the Firms strategy. You’ll be a key leader of Service Lifecycle, driving support, service improvements and escalating across the business. Because of this, you’ll need to have a strong understanding and hold valuable experience of leading Service Lifecycle and Service Design processes.
Using your previous experience in IT Service Delivery, you’ll be able to identify opportunities for reduction in service costs, whilst increasing in service satisfaction and the efficiency in processes driving the delivery of increased quality, faster and more cost effective services to clients and colleagues.
As you’ll be leading and supporting your team of 3 IT Service Lifecycle Managers, it’s essential that you’re a natural communicator, and can build positive relationships with the team. Ideally, you’ll be educated to degree level and be qualified in ITIL v3 or v4 to Foundation level or above, and have experience of creating and reviewing SoRs, ITTs, and SOWs.
