Litigation Assistant (0601)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity, working as a Litigation Assistant within our highly successful Complex Litigation team at Ascent.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the team with fee earning responsibilities including compiling witness statements, bundles for Court, instructions to counsel and service of documents


  • Assisting the team with all financial management including the raising/sending of invoices and initial credit control.


  • Managing all aspects of administration for the team, liaising with clients, arranging meetings, note taking and organising and maintaining diaries.


  • Co-ordinate internal and external audit procedures, as well as compiling management information and data for clients on behalf of the team;


  • Arranging the teams travel, accommodation and expenses.


  • Ensure that your quality and timeliness of work meets or exceeds SLAs/client commitments, and relevant service line’s policies and procedures.


  • To comply with all duties and obligations set out in the post holder's contract of employment and as may be amended (after consultation) by the Partnership from time to time.


  • Carry out any other duties which may from time to time be required of the post holder by any member of the Non Standard Team.
