Due to the growth of our Private Wealth division, we are looking to recruit a Tax Assistant to join our friendly boutique accountancy and tax team based in Chichester. The team deals with a wide range of work for its high net worth, Court of Protection and trust clients. As part of a dynamic law firm we work closely with our lawyer colleagues, helping the firm’s clients with their tax compliance.
This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is keen to progress their career specifically within the Tax arena.
Working within the tax and trusts compliance team, this role provides accounting and tax return support to senior fee earners to service a wide variety of personal tax clients. The role involves a mix of compliance and advisory services support to the senior fee earners and their clients. You will be expected to draft tax returns and eventually review tax returns drafted by others. You will also eventually manage your own caseload and work to fee earning targets.

What will I study?
Given the nature of the role, you will be working with BPP who are our training provider and they will provide full study support for the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification. This is an apprenticeship opportunity and following completion, you will also obtain the Level 4 Tax Technician Apprenticeship badge of honour.
What are the entry requirements?
You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C or 9 to 4 (or equivalent), including Maths and English. You’ll also need at least 3 A Levels (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (excluding General Studies) in order to meet the minimum academic requirements needed to complete this apprenticeship.
