Knowledge Management Assistant (1050)

The Role

We have an exciting development opportunity within our Knowledge Management team. The role will be based in any of the Irwin Mitchell offices, and ideally suited to those in administrative or PA positions looking to gain information services experience.

Working within the Knowledge Management team, the Knowledge Management Assistant will provide general and administrative support for all areas of the department, including hard copy management, research and training, budget management and supplier management.

You’ll be working with other KM Assistants, so it’s essential you’re a team player. You’ll be reviewing and monitoring research requests and undertaking basic legal and business research. You’ll also support in the preparation of training and research documentation, coordinating the data and liaising with external suppliers where necessary, therefore you must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills. 

The role will also involve checking invoices, and keeping documents and catalogues up to date, so you must have a key eye for detail and be able to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise. It’s essential that you’re a good communicator and can interact confidently with people at all levels across the group, as you’ll need to maintain solid professional relationships.

You’ll be an experienced individual, holding a strong track record of administrative roles within a business or legal library environment. It’s essential that you’re well organised and are able to adapt to new situations and change priorities when needed, but still able to deliver on the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients.
