Working as the Head of Data Analytics, you will develop and drive the use of data consistent with Irwin Mitchell’s strategic, financial and business objectives. You’ll be working closely with the CIO team, Group Sales and Marketing Director, as well as divisional CEOs and senior partners, and be responsible for impacting and influencing across the group. You’ll develop commercially viable strategies and prototypes from the data assets of the business, and be able to deliver analytical support group wide.
You’ll develop strategic business cases for data product creations, and manage these through to implementation, whilst promoting best practice and best usage of analytical platforms in the team. You’ll have a clear track record of delivering value through data, so it’s essential that you have significant experience working at a strategic level and can demonstrate understanding of business strategies.
You’ll be educated to degree standard in a similar field, or have equivalent work experience, and be able to demonstrate your thorough knowledge and experience of analytical and data systems usage. As you’ll have a number of direct reports, you’ll ideally have proven coaching and development skills and be able to use these within your team and to support the integration of data scientists into the business.
It’s essential that you’re a strong communicator with proven leadership skills, as you’ll be required to make successful working relationships with colleagues across the group and be able to motivate and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll have excellent presentational capabilities, and be able to deliver complex concepts and ideas that can be understood across the business.
