Your Role

As Head of Business Partnering, you’ll sit as a key figure in the HR senior leadership team, working closely with our Chief People Officer, Susana Berlevy and other executive leadership teams, to successfully realise our strategic outcomes. You’ll be tasked with delivering the short, medium and long term people strategy whilst also leading a highly consultative and relationship-based team of HR BPs.

Your significant input into strategy will mean that you’re a thought leader and technical expert across a number of disciplines in HR, and you’ll be able to translate our business strategy into a comprehensive HR programme of people change, OD and employee relations.

Strategy and Planning

  • Deliver people strategy planning at a group and divisional level, with responsibility for HR programme management of people change, OD and Employee Relations.

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Commercially aware of all business targets and measures
  • Coach and develop our senior leaders – act as a coach and trusted advisor for senior leadership in discussing business strategy and people matters
  • Use data to create people analytics that support strategic decision making for group
  • Reviewing all external business trends looking for opportunities to disrupt and continuously improve service.


  • Build a high performing team, ensuring structures and processes are in place to support the development of existing and future HR leaders, to create strength in depth across key roles within the People Operations team
  • Operate as an effective Group Services leader, developing strong working relationships built on mutual respect and trust to bring together a team of HR “experts” to deliver people strategy and planning.

Programme Management

  • Identify and lead group wide people change and improvement initiatives

 What we’ll need from you:

  • FCIPD qualified (ideally)
  • Experience working in a similar role at an executive level
  • Extensive wider network and influencer in the HR market
  • Collegiate leader with strong emotional intelligence, able to build trust and respect across a leadership team, bringing together and leveraging the strengths of a team of experts to deliver
  • Commercially astute with excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage and influence at all levels across the organisation
  • Experience of operating in a complex matrix structure model – managing relationships across a range of stakeholder groups
  • Resilient and change focused
  • A commitment to continuous improvement; an ‘always on’ approach to learning – both for yourself and your team
