Working as an EPMO Resource Manager in Irwin Mitchell’s Change Delivery team, you’ll manage the Change and IT Organisation (CIO) resources, focussing on capacity and tracking the resourcing demands for current and future workloads for internal and external staff working on a range of projects and programmes, ensuring a smooth delivery from beginning to end. You’ll be pivotal member of the team, providing various services, and working closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, to help maximise portfolio performance and improve the way that we plan and manage internal and external resources.
You’ll already hold previous experience working in Resource or Portfolio Management in a professional services environment, and ideally hold a qualification in project, programme or portfolio management. You’ll develop, implement and maintain an effective and robust resource management process for CIO, and have a detailed working knowledge and understanding of resource plans, aswell as the associated risks, issues, dependencies and constraints, producing remediation plans where necessary.
Whilst you’ll report to the Head of EPMO, and assist other senior management when needed, you’ll need to work independently and often autonomously. You’ll be a point of contact for all escalations, and manage these through to resolution by engaging with impacted stakeholders. So it’s essential that you’re an excellent communicator, and can explain complex issues coherently.
Given the nature of the role, it’s essential that you hold strong planning and organisational skills and are able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and still maintain a high quality of work. Working as part of a team, you’ll be able to provide input, and turn ideas into tangible deliveries and tasks, and have the confidence to challenge ideas in a positive and constructive manner when it is in the broader interests of the Group.
If you’re an experienced EPMO Resource Manager and want to join an exciting team, then please apply.
In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.
