Working as Business Development Executive, you'll employ your experience in sales and business development to provide support and guidance to the fee earners responsible for increasing business.
As a person you will bring a natural enthusiasm, flair and drive for business development. You’ll have the confidence to deal with fee earners is important as is being self-motivated and creative to develop thought-leadership campaigns and carve-out genuine BD opportunities. We are a strong, united and collaborative team and you will need to also work closely with, and in support of, your colleagues. You’ll use this collaborative approach to work with a team of cross practice lawyers to direct and support all BD activity as well as regularly liaising with teams across the business.
As a Business Development Executive you will have some experience in business development and / or sales, have a good sense of commerciality and an ability to assist in the winning of new clients and generation of revenue.
A desire to continuously improve, build upon your knowledge and develop your understanding of the sectors within which key stakeholders operate will be essential in order to fully champion the IM brand and its values. The ability to work with the Business Development Manager to spot and react to market opportunities and develop creative ideas for campaigns and product development off the back of that is important, as is working closely with other teams to build out often fledgling client relationships.
Other aspects that you will be expected to support on will include; attending IM events, aiding the Business Development Manager to follow up on third party leads and helping Partners with presentations and pitches. Prior knowledge of the legal sector would also be an advantage although not essential.
