The Team
The team specialises in all areas of Employment Law, both contentious and non-contentious. They advise businesses and individuals on all aspects of employment law, with a focus on respondent work for high-profile, reputable businesses in sectors such as Leisure, Hospitality and Retail. The work includes redundancies, disciplinary and grievances, Settlement Agreements, TUPE, absence management, status issues, IR35 and also diversity and inclusion. We also undertake a wide range of Employment Tribunal claims.
You’ll be part of a national employment team which is over 60 people strong. The work we all do has been recognised with awards including a third nomination for Personnel Today, Employment Law Firm of the Year 2023, something we’re proud to have won twice.
Your Role
Working in our Manchester Employment team is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in challenging and complex cases, whilst learning from the very best. Using your understanding of this interesting area of law, you’ll work to participate in relevant practice development initiatives, seek to get involved with business development opportunities and keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice. To drive best practice further, you will be an exceptional team player with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and to develop other team members.
Your role will focus on the full range of employment issues advising on matters including Corporate Support, TUPE, International Project Work, HR Advisory work and Tribunal Claims, working with UK-based and international businesses, including medium, large and listed companies and reputable high street names in sectors such as Leisure, Hospitality and Retail.
You will gain plenty of hands on experience from the outset with support from senior members of the team who are leading experts in this area, to further your development.
What We’re Looking For
- 4-8 PQE
- Experience in Corporate Support, TUPE, International Project Work and HR Advisory work
- A high level of accuracy
- An enthusiasm for advising on a varied range of employment law issues and taking on new challenges
- The ability to manage a busy and varied workload
- An interest in business development
