Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

To assist the Support Services Team leader with the day-to-day management and ensure a high quality service to the firm’s clients is delivered. This includes the development and maintenance of appropriate processes (in-line with agreed department processes) that will improve service levels and cost-effectiveness.

Supervise, co-ordinate and lead the activities of the support functions and fee earner activities. This includes direct supervision of DPU / PA and Admin Support.

Focus on continual performance improvement throughout the office to ensure the office operates profitably in an increasingly competitive marketplace and services are promoted to new and prospective clients.

You will be required to:

  • Manage the support team resourcing across our business to support our fee earning teams
  • Lead the support team to ensure housekeeping is up to date and all priority cases are dealt with by the deadline dates set
  • To manage all aspects of administration, with responsibility for ensuring that all papers within our offices are filed and archived in a timely manner. Additional duties including word processing and telephone duties
  • Conduct 1:1s with team members, manage the wellbeing, attendance, performance and engagement of the team
  • Conduct formal half and end of year reviews for colleagues allocating appropriate performance gradings
  • Responsible for the starters and leavers process within the team
  • Operate locally as a change champion to support the development and roll-out of new support initiatives and operational processes
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of work completed to achieve or exceed SLAs/client commitments
  • Ensure health, safety and security standards and policies are communicated and maintained.
  • Maintain existing manual and digital filing systems.
  • In the absence of the Support Services Team Leader, take responsibility for managing the team and ensure a seamless service is provided.
