We are currently recruiting for a 3-5 years PQE Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Risk and Compliance/General Counsel team in Sheffield.
Within your role, you’ll work to assist the Group in providing advice, support and management in respect of any claims intimated against the firm, its employees or its subsidiaries. You’ll ensure that the Group is effectively protected against any risks, using the appropriate policies and agreements to handle any claims against Irwin Mitchell.
We’d like you to have practical experience of handling disputes and litigation and ideally you’ll hold a Law or Business degree. You’ll be used to running your own files and liaising with fee-earners, managers and supervisors in order to report, progress and resolve any claims.
You’ll use your experience to contribute to any improvements; championing best practice whilst also assisting new joiners and more junior members of the team with any development and training they may need. You’ll have the confidence to educate and present to the General Counsel team and be able to think commercially when providing advice to the wider business.
This role can be full-time or part-time depending on your skills and experience. If you are looking to take your career in a new direction or would like to progress your expertise in Professional Negligence, we would love to hear from you.
In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.
