An opportunity has arisen for a solicitor to join our Tax, Trusts and Estates team in Reading.
This role will involve working closely with the existing team to advise high net worth clients on the legal and tax aspects of succession planning, tax planning and wealth protection. This involves advising on and implementing trusts, complex wills, deeds of variations, probates, powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications.
Our clients typically have complex requirements due to the value or type of assets they own, the applicable tax rules or their personal needs and circumstances and are located across the country. They come to us from our existing, extensive client base, introductions from external private wealth professionals and other Irwin Mitchell teams across the nationwide office network including Family, Wills Trusts & Estates Disputes, Court of Protection and Personal Injury.
The successful candidate will grasp legal and tax concepts, apply them in their day to day work and be keen to further develop their technical knowledge, skills and career through the many opportunities offered within Irwin Mitchell. They will support colleagues on some matters and have primary responsibility for others with appropriate supervision and administrative support. They will be able to demonstrate strong financial disciplines, an enthusiasm for business development and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
If you are a qualified solicitor with experience in this field, a passion for supporting your clients, contributing to the growth and profitability of the team and developing the Private Wealth proposition in the region we would love to hear from you. In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.
