We are looking for a Solicitor to join our leading Medical Negligence team, based in our Newcastle office. 

As the UK’s leading clinical and medical negligence law firm, we are committed to making a positive difference to our clients’ lives. Our specialists support individuals and families following failures in medical care, helping them secure the answers, compensation, rehabilitation and wider support they need.  

Our team has extensive experience across a broad range of complex medical negligence claims, including birth injuries, surgical errors, delayed diagnosis, mental health negligence and fatal claims. 

You’ll join our Newcastle team, led by Partner Samuel Hill. Sam leads one of the largest specialist claimant medical negligence teams in the North East and the team acts exclusively for patients in complex, high-value and sensitive claims against NHS and private healthcare providers.  

You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload while also assisting senior team members with more complex, high-value cases. You'll handle cases from start to finish, using your commercial and analytical skills to identify key issues and propose practical solutions for our clients. Whenever possible, you will aim to secure interim payments to facilitate rehabilitation, care packages, and suitable accommodation before claims are concluded. 

Our team is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our clients and works on some truly complex cases. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving, supportive, and highly experienced team. 

We're looking for a Solicitor who has a passion for medical negligence work and proven experience working on high value multi track cases. You will ideally have the following: 

• 1yr PQE+ experience in Medical Negligence 

• The ability to take instructions from clients and give sound legal advice; 

• Demonstratable technical experience gained within medical negligence; 

• Demonstrable experience assisting seniors across high value complex cases; 

• The ability to manage own caseloads whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail and seamless service; 

• The ability to operate independently and work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients;
