We are currently looking for a qualified Solicitor or experienced Paralegal/Case Handler with around 0-3 years PQE to join our CICA team in our Leeds office.
We would also accept CILEX qualified candidates or an experienced case handler.
Personal injury and illness can have a dramatic and sometimes life changing impact for the person affected and for those who are close to them. The personal injury teams at Irwin Mitchell don’t just deal with compensation claims. We also work with our clients and their families to ensure all of their rehabilitation needs are met. It’s a unique, bespoke approach that really makes a difference to people whose lives have been turned upside down by injury. Experience of dealing with criminal injuries claims would be an advantage.
As a Solicitor or Experienced Paralegal in the team, you will play a key role in successfully running criminal injury compensation claims within a division of the Serious Injury Team, working as part of that team to maximise client damages and optimise costs recovery. You will be expected to perform to KPI’s. You will also assist in developing external relationships to provide an exceptional client experience and generate new cases.
To be successful in this role you must;
- Be a team player and excel at motivating and developing others
- Have around 0-3 years Personal Injury experience, ideally also with some CICA experience
- Be able to run a case load of 30/40 mixed CICA cases to settlement and appeal
- Be able to operate independently and as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and develop other team members.
- Have excellent client care and inter-personal skills, operating with integrity and showing empathy and intuition.
