Senior Credit Controller (2407)

Your Role

As a Senior Credit Controller you will be a key member of the Credit Control team, supporting the Credit Manager in the day to day running of the department, whilst managing your own ledger. You’ll be working as part of a busy team, delivering a high standard of service to the business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Responsibility over a portfolio of accounts, working to reduce aged debt in line with business objectives
  • Support the Credit Manager with the day to day running of the Credit Control team, taking on management responsibilities in their absence
  • Assist in managing and the resolution of escalated client issues
  • Assist with credit checking and the ongoing monitoring of credit limits for commercial clients
  • Assist with the review and approval of Letter Before Claims, progressing legal claims where required
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in existing procedures and processes
  • Liaising with Partners, Fee Earners and Team Assistants in relation to client debts and query resolution
  • Ad-hoc duties to support the team as and when required
What We're Looking For
  • Strong Credit Control experience of both business to business and consumer collections, ideally within a Law or other Professional Services environment
  • Basic understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules for debt claims
  • Associate member (or student studying towards membership) of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and working knowledge of Elite and ARCS systems
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage good client relationships
