Your Role

Working as the Senior Bid Executive, you’ll be supporting the Head of Bids in delivering Irwin Mitchell’s new business tenders, bids and pitches programme to support business growth and ensuring outcomes are delivered to achieve business and strategic goals.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Head of Bids to implement a business wide strategy for bids, tenders and pitches with the strategic aim of maximising profitable revenue, building new business pipelines and acquisition and meeting needs for existing clients to build lifetime value.
  • Working closely with the Bid Stakeholders leading the opportunities advising on bid best practice at all stages.
  • Co-ordinating the stakeholders and contributors during the bid process and have project management oversight to deliver the bid on time.
  • Advising on bid strategy, messaging, and overall content direction to create impactful bids that address the client’s requirements.
  • Collaborating with the bid content management team to ensure that all relevant content is available in line with the bid win themes.
  • Identifying tender opportunities that IM should progress/reject based on strategic and business objectives.
  • Interacting with other business functions in the Group such as Finance, knowledge services, HR and IT to ensure that all bid/pitches and tenders initiatives are executed appropriately.
  • Gaining an understanding of the businesses’ services and products to be able to gather appropriate teams and services to support any bids/tenders.
  • Assisting in reviews and feedback on both successful and unsuccessful tenders to support improvements on our approach and processes to increase success rate.
  • Providing regular MI relating to success and unsuccessful outcomes for all submissions.
  • Effectively managing internal working relationships across the company.
  • Supporting the overall process of management and corporate decision-making, ensuring the organisation maximises its short, medium and long-term profitability.
What We're Looking For
  • Significant previous experience working in a bid team within a professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to adapt to different needs of the audience.
  • Strong data interpretation skills, and able to use this effectively to influence decisions.
  • A background working within a multi-disciplined team within a medium to large organisation.
  • Ability to build and manage positive relationships both internally and externally.
  • An excellent team player - able to work collaboratively helping each other out when needed.
