Senior Associate Solicitor (2022)

Our Team

Our national Real Estate team is one of the largest in the UK. Due to continued growth of the Real Estate division, we are looking strengthen our Manchester team.  The team undertakes a broad range of work  including landlord and tenant, property management, sales and purchases, financing, investment and development across all sectors within the real estate sector.

Some of the notable things we’ve been doing include:

  • Advising on the estate management of Great Northern Warehouse, Manchester for an overseas investor
  • Acting for Manchester City Council in relation to the £20 million plus development of 'HOME' located in Manchester’s First Street area
  • Acting on the acquisition, development,  funding and disposal of various student accommodation projects, including at Leeds and Birmingham
  • Acting for DAC Beachcroft in relation to the acquisition of 50,000 square feet of office accommodation at the Walbrook Building, London EC4
  • Acting on the acquisition of the former BHS distribution hub at Atherstone, its letting to the Royal Mail Group and disposal to Tritax Big Box
  • Acting for private investors on the disposal of 123 Deansgate, Manchester.
Your Role

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Senior Associate Solicitor to join our Manchester Real Estate team. As a senior solicitor in the team, you’ll deal with a wide range of commercial property matters on behalf of many notable clients and use your expertise to take on more complex cases. This is a key hire for the Manchester team and the successful candidate can expect to work closely with the partners on the growth of the team and business development activities, as well as coaching and mentoring junior members of the team,

What we’ll need from you:

  • You’ll have extensive experience with dealing with a broad range of commercial property matters
  • Enthusiasm for marketing yourself and the team to support with the growth of the national real estate team
  • Exceptional client care skills and excellent communication skills
  • Experience of line manager responsibilities; coaching and mentoring, holding appraisals and performance reviews and delegating work on a daily basis
  • Ability to role model technical knowledge and behaviours to the team
