You’ll join Partner Justine Spencer, Head of our Medical Negligence team in Southampton, specialising in clinical negligence. Justine has a particular interested in the area of high value, complex obstetric and neonatal neurological injury, including cerebral palsy, neonatal hypoglycaemia, meningitis and Group B Strep. Justine has been considered as “a thoughtful and thorough lawyer" – Chambers & Partners, 2020 and has been involved in securing a £16.45 million compensation settlement for a boy who suffered brain damage after midwifery staff failed to provide him with proper postnatal care, you can read more about Justine and her work here.

You don’t always need to have a law degree to work as a Paralegal at Irwin Mitchell. In the Clinical Negligence Team, we’re keen to have you on board if you are a great team player and willing to learn quickly. You'll have involvement in multi-track value cases, with wide ranging types of claims over £25,000 to multi million pound cases.
