We are looking for two Paralegals to work in our Employment and Professional Discipline department in our London office.
The role offers the successful candidate exposure to complex and interesting employment cases working alongside and in close contact with three partners. You will ideally have relevant experience in a similar role but most importantly will be ambitious, driven and willing to learn. You will draw upon your experience of handling your own caseload, time recording and fee earning targets, to support the team with all manner of employment work. You will be working on interesting, ground breaking cases, principally acting for professionals and city executives. Candidates must be willing to work hard on fast paced, complex litigation in a support function, undertaking both fee earning work and administrative duties.
Given the nature of the role and the emphasis that Irwin Mitchell places on excellent client service, the ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to build good working relationships with both clients and colleagues over the phone and face-to-face. Your role will require you to work collaboratively with other team members, supporting when priorities change and remaining professional in a sometimes pressurised and challenging environment.
We'd like you to have previous casework experience, ideally in employment law and have completed the LPC.
In addition to your basic salary we have a competitive benefits package including pension, critical illness cover, health cash plan, death in service, discounted legal services, 25 days hols (this increases with length of service), discounted online shopping, discounted gym memberships and season ticket loans.
As part of the Irwin Mitchell Group’s on-boarding process all successful applicants are required to complete the group’s employment screening process. This process helps to ensure that all new employees meet our standards in relation to honesty and integrity therefore protecting the interests of the Group, existing employees, clients, partners and other stakeholders.
The background checks made will establish your eligibility to work in the UK, and criminal record check and financial checks with a credit reference agency will also be undertaken.
The employment screening process will fully comply with Data Protection and other applicable laws.
Irwin Mitchell LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
