Paralegal - EL/PL/OL/RTA (4827)

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

Our Team

Injuries affect our clients in different ways such as their family life, employment opportunities, healthcare needs and everyday quality of life. These claims are by nature hugely traumatic and have to be handled with the utmost care and expertise. We pride ourselves on making a real difference and we can help clients to live their life as fully as possible after an injury. We have years of experience helping people claim compensation for injuries and have specialist teams across the UK.

You’ll join the Resolve team led by Kerry Hadley & Darren Wilson in Sheffield, specialising in all types of personal injury cases, including road traffic accidents, injuries at work, slips and trips and fatal accidents.

 

Your Role 

You will be joining our Resolve Serious injury team which supports clients with wide ranging types of claims valued up to £50k.

Your role will involve, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting on sub £50k Motor and ELPL claims, both MOJ portal and litigated cases
  • Taking instructions from clients and assisting with the giving of legal advice, including obtaining medical and other evidence, instructing Counsel and, where appropriate, assisting with other litigation tasks, to achieve appropriate resolutions for the clients.
  • Achieve time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
  • Attend and contribute to team/practice area meetings and comply with directions/decisions made to ensure team objectives achieved.
  • Keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attend appropriate training events to ensure up to date legal knowledge and best practice.
About You

About You

  • Previous Claims Handling experience is essential 
  • Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances
  • A friendly, enthusiastic and can-do approach
  • Enthusiasm in building a career as a Paralegal
  • Case handling experience of FT cases in and out of FRC portal in EL/PL/OL/RTA is ideal
  • Litigation experience is ideal
