.NET Developer (0236)

The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microsoft .NET software developer to join our IT Technical Developer team.

We're looking for a C# developer to join a friendly integrations team working on new projects and enhancing current solutions.  You'll be involved in all aspects of software development including technical specification, programming, documentation and deployment. This role will be based in our Sheffield Head Office.

We'd like you to have had experience building applications using .NET. You'll also need to demonstrate proven skills in C# .NET 4 and SQL Server and have enthusiasm for software development. Experience of integration technologies (e.g. Web API, WCF), Agile working and SDLC tooling (CI/CD) would be beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working closely with other team members. You must be educated to degree level or equivalent and should have at least 2 years’ experience of .NET development. You must also be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and have the ability to prioritise work, show initiative and deal with changing time scales/workloads. This role would suit a logical thinking, ambitious individual with a professional manner and excellent communication skills.

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of C# development
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Use of source control software, e.g. SubVersion, GIT, TFS

Desired skills:

  • Web API, WCF, Micro-services and/or SOA
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Familiarity with RedGate SQL Server tools
  • Use of SLDC tools for Continuous Integration and deployment
  • Unit testing experience
