Litigation Assistant (1014)

The Role

Are you our new Litigation Assistant? We need an experienced, enthusiastic LA to join our highly successful and accomplished Medical Negligence team in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced LA looking for their next position who wants to build on the experience and knowledge they have to develop their career.

You’ll be supporting case handlers by undertaking both complex admin and undertaking some case handling tasks, in order to progress cases to and throughout the court process.

This is a busy and demanding role, where duties are diverse and no two days are the same. Working within one of our medical negligence case handling teams, you’ll liaise regularly with a wide range of clients and professionals, both over the phone and in writing.

Whether arranging meetings and diaries, seeking or chasing information, you’ll need to show a sensitive and professional approach at all times. You’ll be carrying out various tasks such as drafting correspondence, drafting & collating documents and arranging conferences. To meet your monthly targets you’ll need to be experienced in multi-tasking and keeping to tight deadlines. Whilst planning and prioritising will be the key to your success, you’ll also need to be flexible and quick to respond to requests at short notice. You’ll be experienced in following set guidelines and processes, but with the ability and confidence to use your own judgement where required.

Candidates should be educated to at least GCSE-level standard and preferably with legal secretarial experience. You should also bring with you a proven background in a similarly demanding support secretarial / PA role. You must be detail focussed with proven expertise in client care.
