Learning and Development Officer (0339)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in our Sheffield, Manchester or Leeds office (2 days per week will need to be spent in Sheffield). The successful candidate will work closely with the Learning and Development Consultant for Business Legal Services and will ensure that appropriate training and development interventions are implemented within timescales, meeting specific business needs and delivered in a highly professional and efficient manner. This a volume design and delivery role, where you will take the lead on the delivery of sessions such as Handling Difficult Conversations, Coaching and Feedback, Time Management and Personal Impact.

To be successful in this role you must:

• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence in order to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders.• Work with stakeholder groups to develop and embed behaviours which will create the desired culture within the business; you must lead by example and demonstrate innate personal impact.
• Have experience in L&D delivery – if you have design experience it would be advantageous. Familiarity with topics like communication, influencing clients and colleagues, as well as cyclical programmes such a performance reviews is a must.
• Be comfortable working with a wide range of people at various levels; to be able to stand firm and maintain credibility under healthy challenge.
• This is a stakeholder facing role in a really large, diverse and fast moving business area – it will be busy! Being able to manage priorities is a must.
• Have proven ability to work as part of a team and also / or under your own initiative and at times with little or no supervision.
• Be willing to travel.
• Must be IT literate with excellent organisation / planning skills and a proven ability to deliver against training delivery targets.
• Takes personal pride and ownership for successful delivery and displays an enthusiastic and positive approach to all tasks.
• Experience of working B2B sales / BD or in Professional Services is a distinct advantage.
