Learning and Development Consultant (0441)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Learning and Development Consultant (LDC) to join the Learning and Development (L&D) team as part of the wider HR team. The role will be an 18 month fixed term contract based in either our Sheffield or Leeds Office.

Working as an LDC, you’ll work closely with the business to ensure appropriate training and development interventions are implemented and delivered in a highly professional and enthusiastic manner. You’ll project manage agreed training activities and provide a professional L&D consultancy service to the business and wider practice areas.

Given the nature of the role, you’ll have significant senior L&D experience, ideally within a law firm. You’ll draw upon your experience of providing and sourcing training to identify ‘best in class’ suppliers as well as being responsible for the continuous review and development of ‘owned’ training programmes. In addition to this, you’ll use your experience to update/produce new training materials that are engaging and creative.

You’ll undertake systematic and critical TNA exercises to identify continuous development and training needs and have the confidence to present your findings to senior management or practice area heads. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills ensuring you build robust relationships across the business as well as demonstrating strong influencing skills. You must champion best practice; sharing learning interventions with your team as well as working with HR colleagues to integrate training into the wider development agenda.
