Knowledge Management Training Coordinator (1322)

Your Role

Working as a Knowledge Management (KM) Training Coordinator, your role will be to support the provision of legal and resources training and ensure investments in KM systems, processes, databases and tools are fully leveraged across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing training and guidance for new joiners, trainees and other colleagues across Irwin Mitchell in relation to resources, legal research, and departmental training.
• Managing the starters, movers, leavers and trainees processes in relation to KM resources.
• Liaising with Practice Development Lawyers, the Organisational Development team, other colleagues and relevant third party providers in relation to the provision of legal training for the practice area teams, and establishing relevant processes.
• Building and maintaining relationships with our centrally managed training providers as agreed with the Resources Manager, ensuring best value is obtained and developing positive partnerships.
• Working with the Resources Manager to undertake regular analysis of usage data and other relevant management information, identifying key trends and related actions to help improve KM services, monitor the effectiveness of training and provide insightful service reporting.
• In liaison with the Resources Manager, monitor and raise colleague awareness of new developments from existing resources or suppliers, as well as reviewing and assisting with procurement of new resources as required
• Taking a lead role to prepare and manage the legal training budget across the Group.

What We’re Looking For

• A background working in an Information Services, Knowledge Management, Learning & Development related team.
• Ideally, you’ll hold a qualification in Information and Library Management, Information Science or a related subject.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise your own workload whilst meeting tight deadlines.
• A working knowledge of key legal, business and knowledge databases, and associated technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to confidently communicate to colleagues at all levels across Irwin Mitchell.
