Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

IT Service Risk Analyst – Technology Risk

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive IT Service Risk Analyst to join our Technology Risk team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and managing IT risk logs across the CIO function. You’ll work closely with technical teams to understand and translate complex risks into clearly documented events, ensuring effective mitigation and reporting.

You’ll also support internal and external audits, manage KPIs, and maintain accurate data within the IT Enterprise Catalogue. This is a highly collaborative role that involves preparing reports for senior leadership and guiding colleagues on risk management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Technology Risk Management Log across the business area.
  • Keep risk incidents up to date and investigate potential updates to existing risks.
  • Collaborate with Risk Champions and Heads of Department to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Support audit tracking and reporting, ensuring timely action planning and resolution.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and measure performance against KPIs.
  • Prepare risk reports and insights for senior stakeholders and group-wide committees.
  • Ensure resilience and disaster recovery information is accurately maintained.
About You

Essential

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, understanding their language and translating technical risks into clearly logged risk events.
  • Proven experience in logging, tracking, and managing IT risk events.
  • Comfortable working with data and numbers, with solid Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Confident in leading meetings and delivering Technology Risk presentations to senior stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with audit management processes and a good understanding of financial principles.
  • Experience using risk management tools and frameworks (e.g., Risk Registers, RCSA, Risk Appetite).
  • Previous experience in legal or financial services environments.
Our Benefits - What We Can Offer You
  • 25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays - You can ‘buy’ up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.
  • Generous and flexible pension schemes.
  • Volunteering days – Two days of volunteering every year for a cause of your choice (fully paid)
  • Westfield Health membership, offering refunds on medical services alongside our Aviva Digital GP services.

We also offer a wide range of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace and to make sure you’re fully supported.  This includes our Flexible by Choice programme which gives our colleagues more choice over a hybrid way of working subject to role, team and client requirements.

We have been ranked in the Best Workplaces for Wellbeing for Large Organisations for 2024!

Our responsible business programmes are fundamental to who we are and our purpose. We’re committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace where our colleagues can flourish, and we have established a number of inclusion network groups across our business to support this aim.

Our commitment to Social Responsibility, community investment activity and tackling climate change is a fundamental part of who we are. It’s made up of four strands: Our People, Our Community, Our Environment and Our Pro Bono.
