Internal Communications Channels Manager (2471)

Your Role

The role of Internal Communications Channel Manager is to ensure the channels we use for communicating with and listening to our colleagues are optimised and meeting the business' needs (everything from virtual events to our intranet).  With a strong knowledge of SharePoint Online intranets, Teams and Yammer, you’ll play a crucial role as we move to make more of the Microsoft suite of products to engage with each other across our business.

This means you’ll guide and influence the  strategic development and alignment of our Internal Communications channels - so that they’re effective, well used and managed.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Developing a proactive plan to modernise our intranet platform
  • Working in collaboration with our technology transformation teams  to increase adoption of Internal Communications channels – making decisions based on data and insight
  • Ensuring that we support collaborative working, aligned to our business strategy and purpose - that together we’ll navigate life’s ups and downs Owning and developing the principles and governance  that support this
  • Working with colleagues across our business to understand their needs, helping them make the best use of our channels with content that’s consistent and aligned to our brand, values and tone of voice.
  • Ensuring information is pro-actively managed and reviewed to ensure a single version of the truth
  • Helping all our colleagues be part of the conversation through social, community and collaborative internal channels
What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience of intranet and internal communications digital channels and tools (including Microsoft 365 – SharePoint Online, Teams and Yammer)
  • A passion to continually improve how we reach and connect with colleagues, wherever and whenever they’re working
  • Ability to create and deliver strategic plans on complex issues and to tight deadlines
  • Capable of managing projects in a multi-site business
  • Knowledge and basic understanding of the legal services market
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
