We have an exciting opportunity to join our Information Security team as an Information Security Analyst. This is an entry level role ideally suited to candidates looking to get into the cybersecurity industry.
Working as an Information Security Analyst, you’ll be responsible for assisting the Information Security team in developing and implementing staff policies and the overall security training and awareness for all Irwin Mitchell employees, including phishing simulation testing, and all risk assessments. You’ll be working with projects business wide, ensuring security is represented in the relevant phases.
You’ll be vital in promoting security awareness across the business; this will include phishing simulation testing and awareness training. You’ll regularly monitor compliance with the information security policy, assessing and reporting of the effectiveness of the IT and information security controls. Acting as an internal information security consultant, you’ll be a key contact point to all colleagues on various enquiry points, such as projects and incidents.
You will be assisting in the development and implementation of security standards, guidelines and procedures therefore it is desirable that you already have an understanding of information security and how this relates to the business. You’ll also keep up to date with industry knowledge, trends and good practices, sharing this with the team when relevant, ultimately helping you to identify and investigate any security breaches and incidents.
Given the nature of the role, it’s essential that you’re a natural analytical thinker as you’ll be tasked with conducting specialist research and producing research papers on topics including new and emerging threats. You’ll be an excellent communicator, and have the ability to empower those you work with, building successful relationships at all levels in the business. You’ll make up from your lack of experience with loads of enthusiasm, a desire to learn and a can-do attitude.
