Head of Tax and Partner Services (2948)

Your Role

As Head of Tax and Partner Services, you will be responsible for all Group Tax matters, and managing relationships with all LLP members; ensuring that we provide a valued and value for money service to members. 

What You'll Be Doing
  • Take overall responsibility for tax compliance for the Group
  • Advise on issues of group structure relating to mergers and acquisitions and international expansion; abreast of emerging tax laws as well as optimum tax planning and saving provisions, assisting in planning accordingly (on M&A for example),
  • Maintain the groups’ published tax strategy and tax policies and processes
  • Maintain processes and policies for effectively and efficiently managing partner related balances, including personal tax and partner capital and managing communications with the member group
  • Monthly drawings and tax reserving for all members, including year-end bonuses and calculation of partner profit shares for tax purposes.
  • Liaise with advisors on preparation of income tax returns and manage the process for preparing in-house Income tax returns. 
  • Manage the tax reserving/withholding position with respect to Mixed Partnership, maintain individual records for those impacted, collect tax for IMH from amounts withheld from dividends
  • Manage the payroll team, and all related employee reporting and employment tax matters, including off-payroll workers (IR35).
  • Work closely with the HR team on all relevant salary, benefit and recruitment matters for employees and partners
  • Assist the Director of Group Finance and other members of the finance team as otherwise required.
What We're Looking For
  • ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax practices and legislation or know where to access the required advice;
  • Experience of partnership accounting (capital accounts and tax reserves)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to negotiate arrangements and settlements with board level/partner stakeholders
