The Head of Business Development is responsible for developing the strategic vision and managing a high-performing business development team to drive our ambitious growth plans in our dedicated Personal Injury business unit.
This role ensures outcomes are successfully delivered to achieve business and strategic goals – you will:
- Drive business development strategies across the business unit with a strategic aim of maximising profitable revenue and building new and maximising existing business pipelines.
- Lead a high-performing team, continuously developing, retaining and recruiting talent. Including setting clear objectives and a professional development plan for each team member to maximise individual, team, and business unit performance.
- Utilise dashboards and reporting systems to gain data insight to track activity, measure ROI, and monitor performance outcomes against targets.
- Manage the business unit business development forecast and expenditure to measure ROI and support future investment decision-making.
- Manage the Key Account Management programme including strategic panel arrangements with clear targets and deliverables to drive growth opportunities.
- Work with the business unit senior leadership team and key stakeholders including Partners to provide strategic direction and monthly insight reporting.
- Work collaboratively with other Heads of Business Development & Marketing to maximise opportunities and outcomes across the entire Group.
We are seeking a Head of Business Development who excels in dynamic environments, challenges existing practices, and proactively identifies new opportunities to drive high performance and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven success in a senior business development role within the Personal Injury sector, at a medium or large organisation in the Legal or Medical industry.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of motivating experienced teams and coaching junior colleagues to elevate quality and service delivery.
- Experience in recruiting, building, and developing high-performing teams.
- A data-driven strategic mindset, adept at meeting ambitious growth targets, preparing and reporting on budgets and performance metrics, and developing and implementing robust growth plans.
- The vision to anticipate and respond to market trends, capitalising on opportunities and addressing challenges to achieve sustained growth and strong performance outcomes.
