This role is the firm’s lead on digital marketing and is responsible for developing and delivering the digital marketing strategy, using digital platforms to increase awareness of Irwin Mitchell and drive new business.
They will develop and implement promotional strategies, including paid social media, PPC and SEO, as well as non-digital channels, working in collaboration with the Paid Media Manager and Head of Group Marketing.
They will oversee digital channel selection across all activity to ensure the correct channels and tactics are selected and utilized to maximize performance. They will manage a team of in-house digital specialists, as well as working with external agency suppliers. They will also lead the Content function, providing strategic direction on tone of voice and style for the firm, as well as overseeing the quality of written material produced within the team.
They will give direction to the web development/web design team, ensuring a focus on valuable and strategic pieces of work. They will be responsible for ensuring the firm is getting value from products such as the content management system. They will work with key stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, risks and opportunities, and recommend the best course of action from a digital marketing perspective. They will also lead on digital marketing data and reporting.
- Inquisitive mind and strategic thinker with the ability to extract insights from raw data and tools provided and deliver and implement strategic recommendations
- Results oriented with a track record and deep understanding in evolving content, paid (including both on and offline channels) and SEO strategies to continually improve campaign performance of lead generation
- Genuine passion for and deep understanding of digital marketing
- Strong copywriter and sub-editor with experience of developing tone of voice and style guides
- Capable of interpreting legal services and understanding the needs of clients
- Strong understanding of SEO guidelines
- Extensive expertise in CMS platforms, particularly Sitecore
- Commercially astute
- Understands brands and how to communicate their values
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure without compromising on accuracy
- Experience in paid search, CRO, display advertising, SEO, social media and website management essential
- Understanding of web development and web design and comfortable directing these teams to achieve digital marketing objectives.
- Understanding of offline marketing channels and how they interact with digital channels to deliver best results
- High level understanding of the legal or professional services market
