Working as a Credit Controller, you’ll use your experience within credit control to chase all allocated overdue debts by telephone and letter, as well as sending monthly statements to clients. A significant part of this role will involve negotiating payment of overdue accounts over the telephone, therefore it’s essential that you are confident dealing with internal “clients” across all levels from Partners to Fee Earners, interpreting, understanding and implementing users’ requirements.
Given your interactions with clients, you will be an exceptional communicator with the ability communicate with tact, discretion and professionalism at all times. You'll also regularly liaise with Partners, Fee Earners and Secretaries within the business.
You'll have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Systems, and ideally you'll have a working knowledge of Elite 3e and ARCS systems. You'll work efficiently and be highly organised to ensure the portfolio of aged debtors is kept up-to-date to ensure this aged debt is collected as promptly as possible. You'll also work to answer any queries and correspondence in a timely manner and deal with any follow-up actions as and when required.
