Our Team

The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for safeguarding the finances and affairs of individuals who lack the mental capacity to manage them themselves. As one of the UK’s leading firms of solicitors, we have a dedicated team specialising in this sensitive and important area of law.

We support clients who:

  • Manage someone else’s affairs
  • Are concerned about another person’s ability to manage their own affairs
  • Worry about their own capacity to manage their affairs

Our work is both vital and life-changing, and we pride ourselves on delivering it with care, professionalism, and integrity.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

We are looking to recruit an Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the Court of Protection team. This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in the office three days per week.

As an Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the efficient progression of cases by providing high-quality administrative support across both paper-based and digital processes. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will help ensure our case handlers can focus on delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients.

You'll be working closely with Associates and Partners within the Court of Protection team to ensure they have the administrative support they need to deliver an excellent service to clients. If you enjoy being part of a successful, friendly, and high-performing team, this could be the role for you. This is a busy and fast-paced position, so you'll need to be able to work efficiently and accurately while building strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external contacts. There is also plenty of opportunity for development, and we're committed to supporting your professional growth and career progression.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing documents and case files, including printing, scanning, uploading, archiving, e-filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Keeping case management systems up to date, ensuring information is recorded accurately and in line with quality and compliance requirements.
  • Handling incoming correspondence and administrative requests, managing team inboxes and Microsoft Power Apps workflows, and prioritising tasks to meet service standards.
  • Liaising with clients, third parties, and other external contacts to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Opening new files and completing associated administrative processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Supporting wider team operations, including post management, administrative support across multiple office locations, and other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Contributing to the smooth running of the team by identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.
