Solicitor - Medical Negligence (6061)

Our Team

We are currently looking to add a talented Solicitor to our leading Medical Negligence team to be based in our Birmingham office.

Our clinical negligence team has extensive experience in clinical negligence claims including but not limited to obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, neurosurgical, cardiac, oncology and psychiatric care.

Our Solicitors handle a wide range of serious clinical negligence claims, including obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, neurosurgical, cardiac, oncology and psychiatric cases.

The team is headed by Partner Lindsay Tomlinson, a highly experienced specialist with over 25 years’ expertise in medical negligence. Lindsay is recognised for her work in spinal injury, cauda equina syndrome, birth injury and cerebral palsy claims, and has secured over £200 million in damages for clients. Known for her compassionate, thorough and client‑focused approach, she brings exceptional technical leadership to the team.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

We are currently looking to add a Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to our Birmingham-based Medical Negligence team. You will manage your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on complex, high‑severity matters, ensuring clients receive clear, practical and empathetic advice throughout their case.

 

• Manage your own caseload of multi‑track medical negligence files
• Support senior colleagues on complex and high‑severity matters
• Provide clear, practical legal advice with a strong client‑focused approach
• Seek interim payments where appropriate to assist with rehabilitation and ongoing care

About You

• NQ–3 PQE Solicitor with experience in, or a training seat within, medical negligence
• Experience handling high‑value, multi‑track claims
• Strong technical ability with excellent attention to detail
• Empathetic, collaborative, and committed to delivering outstanding client outcomes
