Senior Associate - Medical Negligence (6171)
You'll be joining Georgie Cushing and her team. Georgie is a Partner within our Medical Negligence practice in London. She specialises in compensation claims for individuals who have been injured as a result of clinical negligence by GPs, hospitals, private consultants and other healthcare providers. Georgie and her team have a varied case load which includes claims arising from obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, ophthalmic, surgical, cardiac, psychiatric and emergency care. Georgie and the team have also worked on a number of fatal cases and assisted families with the inquest process.
As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives. You’ll be involved in:
- Leading on claims and client relationships.
- Contributing to business development activity and helping to grow the team’s client base.
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the regional team to deliver a seamless service.
We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with genuine empathy:
- 7+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence, with a strong background in Claimant work.
- Proven experience managing high value complex medical negligence claims.
- Commercially aware, with excellent client‑handling skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships.
- Has experience supervising more junior members of the team.
- Motivated to contribute to business development and the continued growth of the team.
