The Family team is one of the UK's leading family law teams, accredited by independent legal guides Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, with decades of experience advising on a wide range of family law matters. The team is ranked Tier 1 and handles a number of interesting and challenging cases, involving high net worth and high-profile clients.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing 

We are looking to recruit an experienced, full-time Family Paralegal to join one of our Southern offices. As a Paralegal within our Family team, you'll play an important role in supporting clients through a range of family law matters, including complex and high net worth cases. You'll work closely with fee earners across our national team, helping to deliver an excellent client experience and ensuring matters progress efficiently

You'll often be a key point of contact for clients, many of whom may be experiencing challenging personal circumstances. This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and with discretion.

Working in a busy and varied environment, you'll support the team with a range of legal and administrative tasks while managing competing priorities and maintaining high standards of accuracy. • Taking instructions from clients and assisting with the delivery of legal advice under supervision, including gathering information and supporting case preparation.
• Working closely with fee earners across the national team to support the effective progression of matters.
• Working closely with our new PDL and new Legal Director of Family Law reform, Practice Development and Innovation.
• Building professional relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders delivering exceptional f client service.
• Recording time accurately and contributing to fee income targets and profitable working.

Essential Criteria 

• Demonstrable Family Law experience, including supporting on complex international and high net worth matters.
• An interest in or experience of family law reform, practice development and/or innovation (including AI).
• Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to provide a professional and client-focused service when dealing with individuals experiencing challenging personal circumstances.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach to work, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to support team objectives.
