Legal Director-Residential Property (6253)
We’re looking to appoint a Legal Director to join our highly regarded Residential Property team in Newbury. This is a senior role within our legal career framework, offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-value matters while contributing to the leadership and growth of the team.
Reporting to a Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic legal advice to clients and supporting the development of the team. You’ll have a high level of autonomy, alongside the opportunity to shape client relationships and contribute to business growth.
Our Residential Property team advises on all aspects of conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity and equity release, company buy-to-let, shared ownership and complex title transactions for clients nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality, client-focused service and building long-term relationships.
We’re looking for a senior legal professional who combines strong technical expertise with a commercial, client-focused approach. You’ll be confident leading complex matters, building trusted relationships and contributing to the wider success of the team.
You’ll bring a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach, with the ability to support others, drive performance and contribute to continued growth within the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience advising on complex, high-value Residential Property matters
- Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor and take ownership of key client relationships
- In-depth sector knowledge, with the ability to contribute to market growth and identify new opportunities
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- A track record of delivering against financial and performance objectives (individual and/or team)
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- A commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to deliver strategic legal solutions
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead complex matters
- A collaborative approach, championing our IM culture and cross-team working
You’ll also have:
- Qualification to practise law in England & Wales (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in Residential Property law
- Knowledge of Islamic Finance and/or secured lending (desirable)
- An established network and market profile (desirable)
