Our highly regarded Manchester Employment team, led by experienced partner Helen Kidd, is expanding and we’re looking for a talented Employment lawyer to join us.

You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that represents a diverse client base, including SMEs and PLCs across various sectors such as retail, manufacturing, engineering, financial services and facilities management.

You’ll be engaged in:

• A broad variety of contentious and non-contentious work, including employment tribunal litigation, providing day-to-day HR and employment law advice and advising on complex restructures, redundancies, and TUPE.
• You will also be involved in corporate support, advising on executive severances/settlement agreements.
• Participation in business development and marketing initiatives (including client training and seminar delivery) as part of your role.

Our Manchester team have been involved many in high-profile cases and continues to grow its reputation for excellence. Recent work includes advising on large-scale restructures, defending complex employment tribunal claims, and supporting clients through sensitive workplace investigations.

We are looking for candidates from newly qualified (NQ) upwards. You will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A demonstrable interest in employment law, with experience gained during training or post‑
• Confidence working with clients and delivering clear, practical advice.
• Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under supervision.
• Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to support colleagues across the broader Employment team.
