Associate Solicitor- Residential Property (6411)

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

We're looking to appoint an Associate to join our highly regarded Residential Property team in Sheffield.

Working closely with Partners, Legal Directors and Senior Associates, you'll manage a diverse caseload of Residential Property matters while delivering an exceptional client experience. You'll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of transactions, develop your technical expertise and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm.

Our Residential Property team of highly experienced property lawyers deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and equity release, company buy-to-let, shared ownership, lease enfranchisement, lease extensions and complex title transactions for clients nationally. The team provides continuous, quality legal advice and an exceptional conveyancing service to our clients.

As an Associate, you'll take ownership of your matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout the process and that work is delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. You'll also play an active role in sharing knowledge within the team, supporting the development of junior colleagues and contributing to business development initiatives.

We're looking for a capable and motivated legal professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and client relationship skills.

You'll be confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision, delivering practical and commercially focused advice while maintaining high standards of client service. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience handling a broad range of Residential Property matters
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload independently and efficiently
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills, with a focus on delivering excellent service
  • Sound technical knowledge and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management, compliance and file management
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • An interest in business development activities, including networking, thought leadership and supporting client growth opportunities
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting an inclusive, high-performing team culture
  • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of budgets, billing and matter profitability

You'll Also Have

  • Qualification to practise law in England & Wales (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within Residential Property law
  • Knowledge of Islamic Finance and/or secured lending (desirable)
  • Experience contributing to business development activities or building professional networks (desirable)
  • Line Management and mentoring experience
