You’ll be joining Lindsay Tomlinson, a Partner in one of our Medical Negligence teams in Birmingham. Lindsay has specialised in medical negligence cases for 25 years and worked on a range of claims which arise from medical negligence issues with particular expertise in spinal injury, wrongful birth and birth injury cases. As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives. You’ll be involved in:

• Managing your own caseload, including litigated matters, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
• Assisting senior colleagues on high-value and complex claims on both liability and quantum.
• Delivering consistently accurate and compassionate legal advice, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their journey.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless and high-quality service.
• Positively and actively contributing to business development.

We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with genuine empathy:

• 4₊ years PQE in Clinical Negligence, with a background in claimant work, however if you have a defendant background and are looking to move into claimant work, we invite you to apply also.
• Proven experience managing your own caseload in a pro-active manner.
• The ability to take instructions from clients and give sound legal advice.
• Demonstrable experience assisting seniors across high-value complex cases.
• The ability to operate independently and work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
